As an team assingment for my study I had to create an endless game with a leaderboard using the Phaser framework.
After an initial brainstorming session, we decided to create a top-down shooter game inspired by Hotline Miami. To give it a unique twist, we developed a plot where you play as a heroic teacher defending a school campus from a zombie invasion. The game begins in the teacher’s room, where you start with an axe for defense. As you kill zombies, you unlock new weapons such as a shotgun and an Uzi. With each level, the game becomes progressively harder, with more zombies appearing.
It was quite the challange to build this out in 3 weeks, but a true joy!(I created the doors in the game at 2am before demo day because I came up with a clever implimentation solution during my sleep).
I brushed out the effort to embed the game right here on my website. It was surprisly easy taking just a few minutes by uploading it on Netlify and embedding it using an iframe. Have fun trying it out!
The game is best played with a mouse and keyboard.
